I never thought of xnview or FastStone as a competitor, as I think they both have much more in the area of editing and management.įPV has only ever been a fast first pass tool to go sort through photos in a very high level. It's just a non-proprietary version of a raw file. Might have to look at that for future use along with FPV There might be a couple of really obscure ones that it can't read. I also saw FastRawViewer in that space as well. FPV when I compared them a few years ago Xnview, too was a bit less stable- but that was years ago. I bought it I don't know, a lot of years ago, and it's been worth it IMO. I would add that just as a tool for sorting through my pictures, FPV has been great. Is anyone else using a DNG workflow? Any particular advantages or disadvantages to the format? At least Adobe Bridge sees them. Does anyone have a solution to get Canon RAW files.
